Overall Position Description:

The Data Preservation Specialist is a crucial member of the team responsible for the collection, analysis, and archival of electronic data for legal proceedings. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong technical acumen, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining data integrity. The ideal candidate will possess advanced problem-solving skills and thrive in both independent and collaborative settings.

Responsibilities

The Data Preservation Specialist’s primary responsibility is to fulfill the preservation request for Physical Disk Drives, Solid State Drives, and NVMe drives, which includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Perform data collection, analysis, and preservation tasks in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize specialized software tools to process, review, and organize electronic documents and data.
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of electronic discovery processes, including data collection, processing, and production.
  • Collaborate with legal teams and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of collected data.
  • Generate detailed reports and documentation of data processing and analysis activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information throughout the eDiscovery process.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in electronic discovery and data management.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Candidate Profile:

  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Post 9/11 Military Veteran with an Honorable discharge, OR currently serving in the National Guard/Reserve
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent with IT experience; (Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • Available to work Full-time

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in eDiscovery, digital forensics, or related fields is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using eDiscovery software platforms and similar tools.
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to electronic discovery is a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality in handling sensitive information.

Pay Range
