Overall Position Description:

  • The Entry-Level Service Technician is responsible for performing basic maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment and systems. This role involves travel to customer locations, working hands-on with tools and technology, and maintaining detailed records of service performed.

Responsibilities

  • Installation and Setup:
    • Assist in the installation and setup of proprietary equipment and systems according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintenance:
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment and systems operate efficiently. This may include cleaning and testing of components.
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs:
    • Identify and diagnose basic issues with equipment or systems. Perform minor repairs or adjustments.
  • Customer Support:
    • Interact with customers to understand their concerns, answer basic questions, and provide updates on service status.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate service logs, including reports on maintenance, repairs, and parts used. Log inventory
  • Safety Compliance:
    • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools.
  • Learning and Development:
    • Participate in on-the-job training and continue learning new techniques, technologies, and industry standards.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Track parts and tools used during service calls, and report any inventory shortages or needs.

Qualifications

Candidate Profile:

  • Available to work full-time
  • High school diploma or GED
  • CompTIA A+, or Network +, or JNCP or equivalent experience
  • Basic knowledge of tools and equipment related to the specific industry.
  • Willingness to learn and follow detailed instructions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • 0-2 years of experience 
  • Skills
    • Technical Aptitude: Basic understanding of the systems and equipment relevant to the industry. Configure IoT devices.
    • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and solve basic mechanical or technical problems.
    • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
    • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for identifying potential problems and performing precise repairs or maintenance.
    • Customer Service Orientation: A commitment to delivering high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Working Conditions:

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy equipment, stand for long periods, and work in a variety of environments.

Salary:

  • $20.00/Hour (Plus Benefits)

Location:

  • Ney York, NY
  • Hybrid Schedule (M-F) - some travel in Manhattan and the Bronx may be necessary
